Kidulthood tells the story of a group of 15 year olds living in inner-London and the antics in which they find themselves after getting a day off school; after the suicide of a bullied classmate. Naturally they don’t stay in and play on their X-box 360s or Playstations; they go out, get high, drink, whore themselves, get involved in torture and eventually come to a brutal end. It’s the stuff parents nightmares are made of, but unfortunately it’s all too real to simply be labeled as shock cinema or a wake-up call to parents.
