The scenario- six troubled youths and their Pastor embark on a journey to heal their fractured minds when their bus crashes, leaving them stranded in a place known as the Trucker’s Triangle. Here they meet Norma, who is more than ready to act as their hostess and put them up in her trailer park for the night. Unfortunately for them, she’s got some very unexpected plans in store for these kids and their Pastor. With a bit of southern charm and her undead friends in tow, all hell soon breaks loose.
Now I have to say, this is some fun right here! With great dialogue, terrific makeup and well done CG, I have to admit I did not expect to like this as much as I did when I first stumbled upon this low budget gem. Norma (Nichole Hiltz) had me at “pretty girl”, with a touch of Jaime Pressly in her personality that she uses very wisely in this starring vehicle. Her first scene (wishful makeup-ing at her dressing table) draws you right into her plight and head on into her pathetic existence and wish to escape from it. From there it goes into fun mode right quick, with excellent pacing and enough exposition of the inhabitants that you end up actually feeling for the demon/zombies.
This is buckets of blood (unrated version) and trailer trash zombies (in addition to various others, you get an Asian masseuse and “the meat lady”, who’s actually pretty scary) fun! It’s based on a great premise and I really enjoyed the story of how this Bermuda Triangle of a trailer park came to be. To top it all off, I was also treated to my very first zombie demolition derby! This really turned out to be a very successful creative effort, especially for straight to DVD. It also has some intelligence built into its cheese factor, and the acting across the board is way above low budget. Even Trace Adkins, the good ol’ country music boy, does a fine job of playing his “Devil Went Down to Georgia” character. The small cast rocked, there was fantastic music throughout, and best of all, original and creative kills abound. I could not have asked for more from a current b-movie, let alone one that would leave me awash in the glory of the heyday of 80′s horror! To me, this movie definitely belongs on my shelf because it has high repeat viewing value. Highly recommended for genre lovers, don’t miss it. And when you pick it up, remember to “tell ‘em Norma sent ya!”…
Wow! I have a big shit eating grin on my face. Thanks so much. Just wish there were more of you out there digging this movie. I’m still trying to figure out why it is playing on cable everywhere else but here in the US.
Thanks again for your support.

I’ve been recommending and talking this film up since its release! My short version review is front and center on Netflix and I know a lot of folks have taken the recommend from me on that site but I do hope you can get it playing on cable here in the States. It deserves to be seen because it is indeed a gem! Mighty fine piece of work you all created.
